3 ALTERNATIVES TO STORAGE

Many of the roughly 100 million people facing downsizing over the next 15 years will end up placing items in storage for long periods of time because they didn’t plan ahead for things which they could have gotten rid of prior to the downsize. Here are three alternatives to storage when downsizing:

1) Charities - Many items that end up in storage for years end up being donated after spending a lot of money for storage. Itemizing items which may not be needed and donating them to charities can save a lot of money for unnecessary storage.

2) Collectors - Downsizing baby boomers may have items which a collector may want. Going online to look for specific collectors for your prized bottle cap collection can be a great alternative to storage.

3) 1-800-GOT-JUNK- At the end of the day, after all family members have what they want, items have been donated and all collections have been sourced, there comes a point where some things just need to be thrown out. Calling a junk removal company is another alternative to storage when downsizing.

The William C Huff White Glove Moving and Storage Company has many years of working with downsizing families. We have lists of charities, collectors and junk removal companies who can give you alternatives to storage when starting your downsize. Many of the items in our storage facilities will eventually be donated or thrown out, only after spending months or years in our storage buildings.

William C. Huff Companies is committed to simplifying the complicated maze of moving and storing your priceless possessions. With over 40 full-time, tenured, and highly trained staff, you can be assured that your move will be handled smoothly and professionally, from the first phone call until the last box is unpacked.
